Danansooriya Home Gardens in Pannala began in 1995, inspired by a school exhibition. As a child, the current owner showcased indigenous fish from garden streams to classmates unfamiliar with native species, sparking a realization about preserving nature amid urbanization and pollution. The prolonged dry season deepened his resolve to find environmental solutions. This experience led him to fantasize about creating a garden that could heal the world. Over time, this fantasy turned into a theory, then a goal, and now into a reality with a higher purpose: transforming the world by cultivating happiness and abundance, starting with a home garden.

Project: Luminosium LK – Brand Identity & Visual Design

 

Overview

Innovation meets elegance in the visual identity created for Luminosium LK. As a brand that prioritizes light, clarity, and modern aesthetics, 9Arc Studio was commissioned to develop a visual language that feels both sophisticated and accessible. Our objective was to create a brand presence that shines—literally and figuratively—in a crowded digital space.
Our Design Approach
Luminous Aesthetics:
We centered the design philosophy around the concept of “light and brilliance.” By using a minimalist approach with refined contrast, we ensured the brand communicates a sense of clarity and premium quality.
Modern Typography & Layout:
We selected typography that balances clean, professional lines with a touch of contemporary flair, ensuring high readability and a high-end feel across all brand touchpoints.
Visual Harmony:
The color palette and graphic elements were strategically chosen to evoke trust and modernity, creating a cohesive visual experience that instantly connects with the target audience.
Impactful Presence:
Every design choice, from iconography to brand placement, was made to ensure that Luminosium LK maintains a bold and consistent identity that stands out.

Client: “The design looks great, but the house doesn’t quite match ours. I’d like to replace it with a traditional Sri Lankan ‘Walawuwa’ style home. Also, the trees in the background look like pine trees, which aren’t native to our area. Could we swap those out for some coconut trees instead?”

Client: “This is looking much better! However, I’d like to incorporate four ‘B’s into the logo: a Bat, Bird, Bee, and Butterfly. Also, could you add some land or greenery over the lake area? Regarding the coconut tree, it looks a bit lifeless at the moment, could you add some more vibrant leaves to make it look healthy and lush?”

Client: “Actually, let’s skip the land over the lake. For the coconut tree, could we make it slightly curved instead of straight to give it a more natural shape? Also, I’m not happy with those small bushes, let’s replace them with some flowers. Additionally, please add some fish and lotus flowers to the lake, and ensure the four B’s (Bat, Bird, Bee, and Butterfly) have a bit more detail to them.”

Client: “This is looking much better! As a final touch, I’d like to include Louis, the dog, near the house. Also, after seeing the curve, let’s actually stick with a straight coconut tree instead. Looking forward to seeing these adjustments!”
