For those who’ve followed my creative path, you might remember the early days — the laughter and stories shared on Daddy’s Days YouTube and social channels, the photography passion that grew under Maithri Photography, and all the colorful illustrations, caricatures, and design work that blossomed along the way.

Each of these projects held a piece of my heart.

From Maithri Photography to 9arc Studio – A Journey of 25 Years Behind the Lens

Every great story begins with passion — and ours began 25 years ago with a single camera and a dream.

Maithri Photography was born in England, capturing life’s most meaningful moments through light, color, and emotion. Over the years, that passion carried us across borders — from England to Sri Lanka, and then to the United States, where we continued the journey in Michigan and beyond.

Through the decades, Maithri Photography became known for its heartfelt and timeless storytelling — photographing families, graduations, weddings, events, and celebrations that mark life’s most cherished milestones.

Whether it was the laughter of a family portrait in London, the vibrant color of a Sri Lankan wedding, or the quiet emotion of a graduation ceremony in Michigan, every photograph told a story worth remembering.

Those experiences — across countries, cultures, and countless unforgettable faces — shaped a deep love for creativity that eventually grew beyond photography alone.

Eight years ago, I started Daddy’s Days as a simple way to share my everyday life and adventures with my son. What began as small, heartfelt moments quickly grew into something much bigger — a creative outlet that blended love, laughter, and storytelling.

Through Daddy’s Days, I discovered a passion for comic-style art, illustrations, and simple animations that brought our stories to life in a fun, colorful way. Over time, that little YouTube channel and collection of drawings became the foundation for something much deeper — a creative identity that continued to evolve with every new idea.

I carried the spirit of Daddy’s Days into my later artworks and animations, keeping that same sense of warmth, humor, and imagination alive. Today, those storytelling roots continue to thrive under 9arc Studio, where creativity takes many forms — from paintings and caricatures to digital art and animation — all built on the same heartfelt desire to make people smile and feel connected through art.
