9arc Studio, based in Frederick, MD, is the creative vision I built to bring all my passions together in one place. What began with photography has grown into a studio that also embraces illustration, caricature, graphic design, and 2D animation a space where creativity can flow freely in every direction.
9arc Studio is a multidisciplinary creative hub founded by Amila Maithri, built on a passion for storytelling through art, photography, and design. What began as Maithri Photography has evolved into a broader vision, now united under 9arc Studio, alongside the creative branches of 365 Creations and Daddy’s Days Animation.
At 9arc Studio, photography is at the heart of what we do from portraits and events to products and creative concepts. Every image is crafted to feel bright, colorful, and full of life. Alongside photography, we bring the same energy into cartoon-inspired art through illustration, caricature, animation, and design creating a studio where vibrant stories come to life in many forms.

I’m the founder of 9arc Studio, a creative hub in Frederick, MD, where I combine my passion for photography, design, illustration, and animation. Photography is at the heart of what I do capturing portraits, events, and creative projects that feel vibrant, authentic, and unforgettable.
If I had to describe my art in one word, it would be playful
I love creating colorful, cartoon-style art that feels alive the kind of art where characters jump off the page and stories dance in bright, bold shapes. My style is full of energy, humor, and a little exaggeration whether it’s a caricature that makes someone laugh, a children’s book illustration that sparks a kid’s imagination, or a comic panel that pulls you right into the adventure.
I also paint on just about anything I can get my hands on from canvases and tote bags to T-shirts because why should art stay stuck on paper? And lately, I’ve been bringing my cartoon touch into the branding world too: flyers, logos, wall art, chalkboards, even food trucks giving businesses a fun, eye-catching style that really pops.
At the heart of it, my art is about joy, color, and storytelling. I want people to smile, to feel something, and to see the world in a more playful way even if just for a moment.
